Prevent Computer Viruses From Invading Your Computer


Computer viruses can do different things to your computer such as causing your computer to slow down, to hackers getting into your computer and stealing your personal information. Computer viruses can come in the form of e-mail attachments, hacked software, and corrupted files. Knowing how to protect your computer from viruses is vital to your computer's health and your personal information.

Be careful in accepting disks and files from other people. Do not reuse their disks that have been in their computers. Make sure that the disk was not tampered with.

Be wary of downloading files from sites that are not secure, and file-sharing programs. Also, be cautious when opening e-mail messages and attachments even from people you know. They may have a virus and not know it and if they send you an e-mail and you open it, you could be infected also.

If you do end up getting a computer virus on your computer there are ways you can get rid of it. You can go on line and find free and paid anti-virus software that you can run to get rid of the virus. There are some anti-virus software that have other features to help you protect your computer like a spy ware and ad ware removal and a registry cleaner.

Whatever program you choose to run, make sure that it can get rid of the computer virus. Make sure that you run daily scans of your computer to make sure no more viruses are on your computer. Also, be sure to download the software updates for your anti-virus program so you will be protected from future viruses.
